Need a service for small business

Hello everyone,

My name is Mike, and I'm the founder of a small web studio based in Norway. As our team grows, we're finding it increasingly important to streamline our internal processes, especially when it comes to scheduling meetings.

I'm looking for a service that would allow me and my two assistants to book meeting rooms efficiently. It’s essential that each of us can check the availability of the rooms in real time and make reservations as needed, ensuring that we avoid any scheduling conflicts.

If anyone has recommendations for a reliable tool or app that works well for small teams, I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Guys, right now I am thinking of this service. It says exactly ”Meeting rooms booking”, have anyone tested it? Price seems ok, but in any case I do want some reviews

Why not just have an excel file that the whole team can see and edit? So if I want conference room A on August 29th I look at the excel file in Teams, or whatever you are using for group chat and meetings. I see it is open so I add my name from 10am to 11am. Now when the next person is looking for that room at that time and checking the excel file they see it booked. Is there more you are looking for?

I know right? This "service" seems a little overkill in my opinion. Might be good for a massive workforce and/or a multi-level office, but for smaller teams and companies it just seems like extra, unnecessary expenses.

My wife works with the federal government, her local office isn't overly large, so I asked her what they do. She informed me that they would very much use Excel for something like this, as they do with MANY other things as it's an incredibly versatile tool. She did say, that most times, people just write down their name, reason, and estimated time and stick it on the door and that works even easier.

I stand by my previous post, a service like this between you and two others seems like insane overkill. If it was you and twenty others I could understand, but for just two? Is it so hard to just say "Jeff, I have the meeting room booked out today, 13:00 to 15:00".

My wife (middle management) and her team / higher management just use Google calendars to schedule meetings and rooms. Everyone can see what is going on.

Many people will use Excel, or similar, for such practical and easy to use solution for a small group.

In my team, we use Google Sheets in a similar way for our holiday, absence and travels planning. Simple to fill in, simple for all the team to see when everyone is available or if there’s a possible capacity issue.

Why waste money over thinking more complex solutions?

Or here is an even more over kill option, put up a white board in the office that is marked out for the week with time slots. drop a magnet or mark it with erasable markers when the meeting room is being used.

Seems to me that simply setting up a shared calendar in Google, Microsoft or Apple calendar would suffice.
