The iOS 11 roll out has been a nightmare on my iPhone 6s (battery life, lag, 3DT issues... You guys know). I was going to roll back to 10.3.3 today (since Apple is allowing that for 6s owners, I feel that is Apple’s own admission iOS 11 wasn’t fully ready for the 6s at the very least), when I realized my WATCH S2 is already running watchOS 4, so 10.3.3 is not an option for me.

For those on the beta, should I continue with 11.0.3 and deal with the problems or go to 11.1 public beta 2?

This wasn't an "admission" from Apple that iOS 11 wasn't ready for the 6s. It was only being signed because some devices that upgraded to 11 were subject to unresponsive touch screens if those screens weren't genuine Apple parts, and these devices needed a way to be functional again. In fact, it will probably stop being signed soon since that issue has been fixed in 11.0.3.

I have used past ios betas but not ios 11 betas - so can't really comment if you should go that route.

It puzzles me why you are having issues with ios 11. I too have a iphone 6s with only 16 GB storage. I have had the following ios versions installed: 11.0 (OTA), 11.0.1 (itunes restore), 11.0.2 (OTA) and now 11.0.3 (OTA). I have had no issues with all the non-beta releases of ios 11. My phone is as fast as ios 9/10, no laginess or 3D touch issues. Battery life is about the same, maybe slightly worse. I do have reduce motion turned on - if that makes a difference?

Have you tried an itunes restore and setting up the phone as new? Once installed, give it about 10 minutes to settle. I use an app called traffic monitor which also monitors CPU usage and notice that within the first 5 - 10 minutes of ios install or a reboot, the Average Load is through the roof - CPU is super busy. I always have to wait a few minutes (keeping the phone turned on) before the Average Load calms down.

I rolled my 6s back to 10.3.3 this morning (even though it'll make my watch experience less than optimum). I can't live without hands free in my car. There's something being pushed to the 11.x devices that started with 11.0.2 (and now also impacts 11.0.1, should you load that version).

Hopefully Apple will fix the lightning/USB and bluetooth issues a lot of people are seeing.

Aside from buying a completely new iPhone, I have tried everything. OTA/iTunes, restored as new, tried different settings with location services/notifications/privacy, etc. As far as the battery goes, I’ve tuned the settings to where it’s a little better, but not anywhere near how it was with 10.3.3.

I’ve decided to run the course with 11.0.3 for the time being. At least the apps won’t run wonky. Ideally, I wish Apple would allow a downgrade to watchOS 3, then I’d go back to 10.3.3 for the next few months while this all gets worked out.

On the other hand, High Sierra has been running incrediblely well on my six-year-old MBP, so it hasn’t been all bad.:)
