So I currently carry two iPhones....idea is to JB an old 3GS running 6.1.6 and get bitesms to forward texts to my other phone. So my plan is to

JB 3GS
Install my iPhone 5 SIM card into 3GS using sim adapter
Install bitesms or other forwarding app
Connect 3GS to home wifi
Not use or carry phone

Would this work? Do I need to contact ATT for anything? Any security concerns with a JB device connect to my home wifi? If you can't tell, I new to the idea of JB.

I managed to JB my 3GS. Anyone care to voice their opinion on my other issues?

That would work I think using BiteSMS's Auto Forward option. But that's assuming both phones are on cellular.

iMessages could be forwarded to a phone on WiFi, but SMS/MMS is cellular and if the receiving phone isn't on cellular, I don't see how that would work.

A alternative workaround might be to have the 3GS forward to a Google Voice number and use the GV app on the other phone.

GV doesn't support mms. So I have to call ATT to get cellular data in order for SMS to work.

Any security risk involed?
