I love Handbrake but for some reason Die Hard 2 & 3 are a problem. The sound comes off messed up on both of them. I tried Handbrake on PC and Mac and both had the same problem.

So what apps will do as good a job converting to a high quality video file that still includes chapters, preferably a PC app?

Thx:apple:

It's probably because you are trying to convert the DTS Audio track on the DVD's. I have run into this issue a couple of times with some disney movies.

The workaround is:

1. Select the AC3 track in the audio section of handbrake to convert it to aac.

2. Rip the DVD into the hard drive, then for some reason it works properly.

I usually just pick the AC3 track instead.

That's odd; I've converted both of these titles (from the old Five-Star Collection DVDs) without any problems.

That was it, audio track was DTS, just switched it to AC3 and everything went perfect.

THX.
