This looks fun: a multi-day auction of 93,752 Hollywood movie props, already in progress.

To see some of what's for sale, peruse this brochure (PDF) or watch this painfully slow-to-load video tour (wmv).

Hmmm... how would Dr. Evil's desk look in my den? Or do I need some alien bodies from the X-Files?

And what will I do with all this stuff?

If you could get any prop from any movie, what would you want?

Cool!

That would is a difficult question.

Probably a Star Wars or Star Trek miniature. Maybe the Millennium Falcon or the Enterprise.

Then again, Mr. Fusion, Flux-Capacitor and associated DeLorean/time machine would be sweet. :)

I would probably most enjoy a miniature of something, whether it be a town, scenery, or a cool ship/vehicle. Some of the miniatures of houses/sets in Coraline, were absolutely incredibly detailed. I would love to have/see those sets in person.

I once went to the Industrial Lights and Magic Studio where they have worked on movies like Narnia, Night at the Museum, Harry Potter, Pirates, etc. It was amazing all of the things that the artist do. I got to see them at their computers designing and creating the effects. It was a cool trip.

Aw, I saw this on BBC News' Clicked and they interviewed the owner of the store. Even though I'm not Hollywoods biggest fan it's quite sad to see it all vanish and into the hands of private collectors.

I'd like a section of the Death Star surface to use as a coffee table. Without having to build it from Legos.

Do they have any props from the Sigourney Weaver Alien movies????? I can't find the deets on what they're selling.

I would just about die to get a prop from one of those movies...
