I have bought a couple of audiobooks - nothing too heavy - but I cannot listen and stare into space because I'll fall asleep! So I'm looking for a decent casual-type game to play on my MBA (late 2010 11 inch ult) while listening to the book and/or music.

I've played Treasures of Montezuma 2 & 3, and find those match 3 games a good mindless diversion. Was thinking a lite-adventure game like Machinarium that either has subtitles or just ambient noise. I can chew gum and walk at the same time, so I think I can handle some puzzles while listening to audiobooks.

Any recommendations along these lines, or something different?

Thanks

BZ

Machinarium is fun. Trine is not the same game type, but it is small, light or casual enough as well. You might want to try it.

Trine's subtitles are rubbish though

Don't really understand how you're going to listen to an audiobook and play a game at the same time but WHATEVER

You've got (all of them are links to the steam store and if you don't have a steam account you should get one like YESTERDAY OKAY):
Super Meat Boy - Hard as all hell, but fun. MUST USE A CONTROLLER.
The Binding of Issac - Pretty grim themes, made by the same guys who made SMB, a must play in my opinion. Amazing game.
World of Goo - Pretty fun. Addictive.
Poker Night at the Inventory - It's like Texas Hold'Em, but with videogame characters and some other webcomic dude. Fun dialogue! (There's subtitles for the dialogue, and some really really chill music. Like, "I would buy this game's soundtrack for money" music.)
Atom Zombie Smasher - Fun writing, interesting art direction, weird difficulty curve. Fun. No spoken dialogue at all.
And Yet It Moves - Another one with an interesting art direction and intuitive gameplay.
Peggle Deluxe - The ultimate casual game. Fun to play, hit marbles against pegs, get powerups. It's fun as hell. If you have an Nvidia card, there's a promotion to get a demo-kinda-thing (Peggle EXTREME) for free.

Trine looks good, i havent played it yet though.
I like the lego games, like Batman, Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

Those look great, thanks! I also have my eye on The 7th Guest over at gog, com. I think it plays in dosbox or scummvm.
