i got my ipod touch in june/july 2008 so i think it is the first generation. we are going to be traveling and i wld like a way to extend the battery for plane and train trips.

what type of external battery works well with it? can it be charged like the ipod touch into the electrical outlet.

i saw the kensington mini on amazon for $17. is it any good?

if you want one that will recharge your ipod while still making it usable, the best by far is one by 3g juice on amazon for $55 that gives about 1 full extra battery charge. if you dont really care for the ipod to be usable while its recharging, then get a bulkier setup that will give you more than 1 battery charge. theres some on amazon that will give 2.5-3 charges for $45-60, but you certainly couldnt carry your ipod around in your pocket and use it as normal.
