Hi,

The ATI mobility 10.10e hotfix drivers from guru3d work on the iMac 27", so we can finally apply AA to the game. (For those of us who care! :D)

Frame rate results here:

1080p: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d78YTnQ5P_c

1440p: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIGNIZIVDLg

The 10.10e mobility packed drivers are here:

You need to change AA from Catalyst Control Panel, which of course doesnt work on 10.8 or 10.11 only on 10.10e These drivers are also supposed to improve performance in NFS.

Hope this helps!

well, that's lame because you just sit there, don't drive. that kind of fps is not real fps. drive dude. then show me real fps. your fps will be dropped as soon as you drive a car.

Hi I did extensive driving testing, as per the comments. The results were:

1080p 8x AA = 25-30fps
1080p 4x AA = 37-39 fps
1080p 2x AA = 43-45 fps

The reason I didn't drive the car was because I wanted people to see if the changes in AA were significant enough for them to bother with the 10.10e hotfix. When driving on youtube the video compression makes it hard to see the AA. At the last 30 seconds of the film I then drove at the highest AA setting and showed the FPSin the top right hand side, crashing on purpose to try and tigger any drops.

In addition I posted a 1440p video of just driving with AA.

One would not buy an iMac for gaming if FPS were a major concern. So my video was supposed to be there to show that the 10.10e hotfix does indeed work for iMac owners, and at 1080p the framerate ranges were as described.

Sorry if that was "Lame." (I assume that is a negative comment.)

If people want to find out their FPS and don't trust mine, they are more than welcome to install the hotfix. My perspective was that the Guru3d 10.10e hotfix drivers have been correctly patched with Mobility. (iMac 27" compatible)

Thanks for your feedback
