Need good, inexpensive monitor for graphics, suggestions?

I am at a new job and am setting up a mac workstation. Its a small company and they would prefer not spending $600 on an apple monitor. I am looking for suggestions on a 20" non apple monitor that has good color accuracy. We purchased an acer 22" and it is sub par to say the least.
Does anyone have suggestions through experience on an inexpensive screen? links?

i have been hearing good things about the BenQ monitors.

i've been hearing really good things about BenQ as well. 20,000:1 contrast ratio sounds like a gimmick, and also sounds like it would over contrast most things on screen. Like their dynamic contrast ratio that put on their TVs...it looks gorgeous, but there is generally some detail lost in dark areas.

I have it mounted on an Ergotron Arm attached to my 36" Anthrocart, sweet set up!

All 22" monitors are sub par. They have the same resolution as the 20" ones, which means the dot pitch is a lot larger to fill up the extra 2", making a mean screen-door effect. They are also all TN (160 degree viewing angle), which is bad for graphic design due to the vertical gradient it creates.

If you want a cheap good 20" monitor then you can pick up a Dell 2005fpw on ebay. Same LCD as the 20" apple display but with a higher quality back light. Its a very good and professional quality monitor.
