iPad mini Need hands on recommendation for earbuds / headphones for new iPad mini

For all the enablers out there, (Looking at you Libby) I am looking for a good pair of noise cancelling earbuds or headphone for my new iPad mini. If anyone has hands on experience with some, let me know the good and bad. I don't want to spend a fortune. At the same time, I want something that is going to last past a year. I am not looking for audiophile quality headphone usage from a iPad mini that only has two speakers.

I’m happy to enable but I’m not much of an earbud user. I got these Bose but I only use them when I fly, which is two trips a year. I’m not an audiophile at all. My stress level from flight noise has been way down because of these.

I also have these as well as the Bose QuietComfort 35II wireless headphones and the noise cancelling with those earbuds is almost as good as the headphones.

Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones are as good as it gets! Better sound quality than Bose QC35II, and they have better noise canceling too. If you just hold your hand over your ear while your wearing them, it mutes the music, and engages all of the microphones so you can talk to people and hear them, or hear your surroundings it is Zero latency, and it’s instant!

They are $1 dollar cheaper then the Bose, if that helps I dunno but they do have a longer battery life.

They use USB-C too! So, any MacBook charger works, or an iPad Pro, or Nintendo Switch can even charge them.

I’ve researched them rigorously, and everything I’ve found put them a notch above the Bose QuietComfort 35ii’s which is hard to do, because the Bose are great too.

My mom owned me some money for doing some work for her, and I got her to order me a pair of these in “Silver” they match my iPad Pro 1TB in silver too lol.

You could research headphones forever, there are so many options for so many budgets, there’s even a pair of headphones for $50,000 dollars if that is your thing.

I agree that they're the best noise-cancelling headphones. That actually is pretty much the consensus. This advice comes with a sizeable caveat concerning sound. For that see paragraph below.

I am an audiophile in a seriously expensive way. I've been collecting headphones for years and have an extensive collection. My advice is to not ask for advice. Everyone's idea of what constitutes great sound is different to a lesser or greater degree and depends on a large number of variables. Thus, for example, many people swear by Sennheiser. There exists, though, a Sennheiser veil colouring the sound which you might hate. Other models offer a pristine clarity adding virtually nothing to the original music which equally you might hate. Take your devices to local stores and do your own testing. Put it another way, if you were to buy a chair or a bed, I'm sure you'd want to examine them personally for comfort and general suitability. Headphones are no different. Once your tests are complete and you've found what you've want, go online to discover what people say about the quality of your preferred headphones.

After reading more reviews, I decided to go with Sony. I just ordered them off Amazon Prime Now and it will be here in a couple of hours.

I was rel iffy on the QuietComfort 35 II's because of the price but I have used them a lot with both my tablet and phone, at home and traveling, and don't regret it. Good buy on your part.
