Hey, so i recently bought a 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 and it was in good shape and came with the stock GPU. I upgraded it to a 5,1 and installed MacOS High Sierra and then to Mojave. Before mojave it worked fantastic for what it was (4c8t Xeon and then i swapped out the gpu for a gt610 for the Hdmi port 8gb ddr3 ECC and a supper slow 250gb HDD) but when i upgraded to mojave it started to have problems. Here is a list and i would appreciate any help: when i turn on the computer and it loads to the login screen, i type in my password and click enter but the turning wheel goes on forever and then stops and the computer is frozen i have tryed to login in as a guest and that works but i turned off guest (also to add on to that i logged in as a guest and there turned on login automatically which worked but also turned off that so there's no going back). my mouse cursor is gone. is there any way of getting high sierra back or like fixing the issues? i have tried going into recovery mode but that didn't work cuz it just froze and i can't see the boot screen scine the stock gpu isn't in.

You need a METAL GPU for Mojave.

See the first post in this thread:

it is a metal supported gpu

i put a gt610 which is a metal supported

Your GT 610 is most likely a Fermi GF119 (basically a 5XX series NVIDIA GPU). Try a Kepler NVIDIA GPU or one specifically on the recommended list. Read that first post.
