I thought I was changing the artwork on a playlist, turns out I had highlighted my entire music library and changed thhe artwork on all the songs from a - c. When I went to the Edit>Undo it was greyed out. ANy suggestions to undo this?

Thanks!

How was your artwork added before this? Did you use the built-in feature to download from iTunes Music Store? If so, you can probably just edit those songs again and remove the art you just added. You might have to get ablum art again on those songs one you clear the custom (pasted) artwork.

As DLH said, you can use inspector to remove the new art to reveal the old art. I don't know a way to do it as a batch though, I did it one song at a time (boooo).

On a Mac:

CMD + A, then right click and choose 'Get Album Artwork'. You could also go through each song and delete the new artwork you have added, the old artwork should still be stored under the 'Artwork' tab of Get Info.

On Windows:

CTRL + A instead of CMD. :)

No I didn't get the artwork from itunes. Mostly from jpg's dragged in by hand when I added the mp3s to music library. I just tried removing one and it didn't reveal anything underneath. How do I use Inspector for this?

Is there really no Undo feature in iTunes for ppl like me who screw up? Weird.

I had a feeling this was the case. iTunes doesn't add new artwork to the existing artwork when you edit multiple items. Instead, it overwrites that tag with the new artwork. Unfortunately, that means that your old artwork is gone.

For something like this, undo doesn't work.

Looks like you'll have to manually redo the artwork for those albums/ songs. Sorry, I don't have better news.

Actually, you don't happen to have a Time Machine backup, do you?

If not you should keep backups
