I decided to try out Appsnapp. I was a recovering hacker before 1.1.1. When this came out I decided to give it a try. I installed a lot of my old apps I used and the summerboard themes. Well I think I really screwed my phone because I put iSwitcher on it and selected one the themes in it and now my phone is jacked. I mean really jacked. It freezes up on ever app. I cant even make it to the installer to uninstall everything. It wont read in iTunes for a restore. It resets itself on its own. I keep trying to go to summerboard to take it off the iSwitcher theme and it wont let me get that far. My phone was not unlocked and runs on AT&T network. I want to restore my phone... Can anyone please help???????????

Did you install SSH? If so, maybe you can SSH into the phone and delete iSwitcher.

If not, (on a Mac) install iFuntastic and access your phone's file system then delete iSwitcher from there. Look for iSwitcher plists too.

If my phone doesnt show connected to my mac or itunes will ifuntastic still work? I tried SSH and cant connect to it

only way to know is try it.

I just did and it wont let me unshackle or restore the phone. I really dont know what to do. All the icons are the iswitcher ones and it put the default wallpaper of the earth in the background. it just keeps reseting on its own every 20-30 seconds.....

WooHooo!!! I finally got it to restore. What I did was hold the sleep and home button for 10 seconds then I just released the sleep button while still holding the home button to put it into restore mode and then bam it pulls up in itunes and prompted me to restore. That was very close.....

Yeah moving from 1.0.X to 1.1.1 keeps your settings for most applications, and it keeps your installed history for Installer.app. It's best, in my opinion, to blow all those settings away in your user folder manually after the 1.1.1 update.

Glad you got it working again.
