I am mainly looking at it to buy it because of its screen, and other parts for my mid 2010 MBP. The seller says it is defective. Specifically the screen is defect according to him and he says that his friend who is a 'repairer' says the display is defect, and it makes a beep when turned on, and doesn't show any apple logo when turned on, just this appears on the screen:
I messaged him to ask if it was a GPU issue, as many of these 2011 MBPs have a defective gpu and he said it might be, together with the display itself being broken.
If it is a gpu issue, and the display is fine, then that's great and I'll get it, but from the image it looks like the display itself is cracked/broken, in which case there is no reason to get it because it also doesn't come with RAM or a drive.
What do you all think? Is it a gpu issue and/or display physical damage? Looks like the latter.
