Need help downgrading from ML to SL

I've looked everywhere and cannot find any help on how to downgrade from Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard. I have the original install discs for Snow leopard and I have Time Machine back ups. How can I go about doing this? Thanks in advanced.

Boot from the SL disc and use Disk Utility to format the drive. Then you can proceed to install SL

And part 2 of that when you're setting up the new system after installing SL it will at some point ask if you want to restore from Time Machine.

The big question is, will it restore from a Mountain Lion back up into Snow Leopard?

Yes, you can. It's basically what I described above.

No. Install from your bootable Snow Leopard disk.

1.) Put in the CD, reboot and hold the option key. Select the CD icon and install OSX.

2.) Then start "migration assistant". Follow the instructions to restore files from your Snow Leopard Time Machine backup.
