I'm trying to remote in to my Xbox Series X using Dev Mode on my new M1 MacBook Air. Problem is, I can't figure out how to do so. I tried the "Connect to Server" option in Finder but it hasn't worked for me. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or am needing to enable something on the laptop for such connections to work. I know the Remote Connection option works on the console because I was able to get connected using a cheap Chromebook I've had for a few years (I don't own a Windows PC of any kind).

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Can you provide an example of what you put in for “connect to server”? The forward slash and backslashes are different from Windows and MacOS and you want to make sure you’re not using AFP.

Edit: You should also lay out what exactly you are trying to accomplish so people can help troubleshoot.

I know there are a few iOS /iPadOS apps where you can remote play with Xbox One -- I am not sure about Series X. Could try and sideload the apps to the M1? Sorry this isnt very helpful haha

This video explains kind of what I'm trying to do. The video is doing the same thing but for a different reason:

The video starts right before the pertinent info

You still need to provide information as to where in the process this is failing for you. Without knowing specifically what you have tried we don’t have a good basis for offering suggestions.
