Hello,
I am in search of a PDF reading app (jailbreak or app store) that has very specific functionality. I have looked high and low and cannot find one with it.
I believe the feature would be hyperlinking between documents, but let me give the backstory:
McDougall Littell textbooks are provided in e-book form, but each section of the book is in a different PDF file. These files are named cryptically and non-sequentially as names such as "M5A01DBD" or "M5C10__D". These names are non-reflective of what section of the book each file is, and the only way to navigate the book is through the Table of Contents, found in the "_Table of Contents" file, which places a hyperlink to another file over each section of the book listed. (I would upload a portion of the book as example, but I'm pretty certain that would be illegal).
I am aware that I can just use a PDF merger to combine all these files into one, but there are 184 files, which I would need to properly order by one-by-one clicking each link in the Table of Contents (much too tedious for my liking).
So, are there any apps out there which would work with the hyperlinking found in the Table of Contents file and allow me to navigate the book without merging each file? On my Mac, Preview does not even have this functionality, and I must use Adobe Reader every time I wish to view the e-book.
Thanks.
