I have been doing my research but the options seem kind of slim for what she’s asking.

In no order:
  • 12.9” iPad Pro 2020
  • She has a case on it that she loves because it secures the pencil when it’s closed. She’s afraid of losing the pencil inside a bag during travel without this case
  • She does not use a laptop. She wants the keyboard for writing and otherwise uses the iPad for drawing with the pencil
  • Magic Keyboard seems like the obvious option but she is concerned with losing the pencil with this case. She also doesn’t know how it would feel to have to always remove the iPad from the case to use the pencil to draw (easy to remove, yes, but then it’s not in a case)
  • Started looking at Bluetooth keyboards (not cases) with a trackpad (trackpad is necessary). Options seem slim but Logitech has one like this for only $25 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-k400-plus-wireless-keyboard-black/7575039.p?skuId=7575039

With that, I think I am between the Magic Keyboard case and that cheap Logitech keyboard.

You guys that have used these, any suggestions that might sway me? Or suggestions for something that isn’t one of these two?

But is it known that the trackpad on that keyboard works with the iPad?

I don’t think Logitech mentions that it does on their site or on Best Buy. Which is weird because apparently it works seamlessly according to a few older Reddit posts I found on Google. So I think it does.

I dont use this but ive seen it recommended a lot. If she doesnt want to use it as a laptop then maybe the Smart Keyboard instead since that folds back.
