I'm having an extremely difficult finding a simple app to create different lists and check them off as they're done. I need it to be cloud or web based so I can pull up on multiple devices and on my Mac. This could be used for holiday gift lists as well, which would be an easy way to explain what I'm looking for. You'd create a list for each person, with the items. You can check off the item as it's done/bought, but you can choose to hide it once checked or still see it. But then most importantly, I need a consolidated list of all my lists showing what I still need to do and what list it belongs to, and again, I can choose to see or hide the completed ones. I don't even care about reminders or due dates or anything like that which would make it more complex. This seems pretty simple. Any ideas?

Check out "Remember the Milk." Has an app, as well as a website.

Thanks, but I've looked at that before. Just went to their site again. Not very intuitive. Can't even figure out how to add your own lists which is crucial.

You can try gTasks for free (with number-of-tasks limits). It'll do just about everything you've mentioned. Syncs with a Google account for viewing on a Mac and I'd recommend the Chrome extension "Better Google Tasks" as working with Google Tasks at the Google website isn't so great.

The full version, which you'll most certainly need, is $3.99 and is purchased in-app in its settings.

Thanks! I will check it out. Unfortunately the Better Google Tasks seems to have been removed from the Chrome store. Not sure how I can get that now. But I'll try the regular Google Tasks (by Google) that I found in there.

ok Gtasks is pretty slick. I am using a Chrome extension called Google Tasks Offline and have it synching with my iPhone. You're right, it's exactly what I was describing. And it has the ability to add reminders and due dates, but that doesn't interfere with the simplicity of adding a bunch of tasks (or gifts in my case). Thanks BrianBaughn. Best solution I've seen by far!
