Hi everyone,
I need some help to flash CM10/11 onto my Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9305)
When I am in clockworkmod recovery I install from zip and it starts and then says "Installation Aborted..." "Rebooting Device"

Thanks

Pretty sure you did this already, but did you wipe dalvik cache? If not, do it. Or you can try TWRP instead of CWM. Oh, and make sure your installing from SD card to avoid any potential issues.

If still a problem, try finding a CM to flash from Odin.

Also, the checksum of your file might be bad. Trying downloading from a differ source.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to CWM but is wiping the dalvik cache just "wipe cache partition" in CWM?
The file is on the internal storage. Is that my problem?

No, not the same - you go into advanced in CWM and choose wipe dalvik cache.

Update

UPDATE: I wiped dalvik cached and enable signature check and tried it and it says:
E: footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed

It also asked to confirm if I wanted to install and it never did that before.

Where did you download the ROM from? That sounds like an issue with the download. Did you compare the checksum to the download page? Your MD5 will tell you the integrity of the data and if it's been compromised during the download.

Also, as another user said, switch to TWRP. Only issue would be that old backups with CWM would be unusable.

Odin is a very useful program for flashing both ROMs and also recovery files like TWRP.

I do recommend heading over to XDA as they've got massive threads on this and probably multiple links to different ROMs/versions.

Also, you can't flash from your internal storage as you are supposed to be fully wiping it clean. That's where an SD card would fit in. You'd wipe the cache and data for the phone itself, including internal storage. From what I remember, it won't wipe your SD card unless you go into a separate option to wipe it.

Good luck!

Uncheck signature verify. Download CW from a differ source. Then wipe dalvik cached and try again.

I'm downloading CM11 from the CM website now and gonna chuck in an sd card with the zip. Might install TWRP and see how that goes.

Thanks all for the help :)
