Hello all! I’m trying to verify a suspicion of mine about the numbering scheme of the model identifier part of the serial numbers
The last four characters of a Mac’s serial number tells which exact model it is.
FY10 = mid 2015 i5
FY11 = late 2014 i5
FY14 = late 2014 i5 or i7.
My request is: if you have a late 2014 i7-4790k iMac 5K, what are the last four characters of your serial?
Don’t give me any more than that!! I don’t want or need anymore than the model identifier. The rest is unique to your computer and must be kept private.
Thank you!
