Ok, so im running a 1 year old macbook pro with bootcamp and vista ultimate 32-bit.
Dl'ed the game off of steam and when i tried to run it it said there was some error and it crashed to desktop.
I uninstalled and am in the process of downloading again, anyone can give me some tips on getting this game to work?

Hopefully you'll get it going. I'm currently running this game on a PC, great game btw. I also run bootcamp and 32bit Vista on my MBP so I'll be keeping en eye on this thread.

Dunno how the DRM is for the Steam version but for the CD version you pretty much need the unofficial patch to get it with anything above XP.

I disagree.

I own the CD version, the Steam version and also on Direct2Drive. I have had all three installed on both XP and Win7x64 (I avoided Vista where I could, as it was the worst OS release in modern memory), and I have never had to use one of the unofficial patches.

I would recommend trying to install the 1.2 official patch manually (get it from worthdownloading or other sites) once you've reinstalled it through Steam. You should also try loading the wide-screen fix (from widescreengaming forums) as the patched dll fixed alot of graphical issues with Bloodlines for me. The other thing to try would be as suggested - to try using the latest unofficial patch and see if that helps.

I do remember having issues installing this one off CD's in Vista but, it's been sometime now and I've been on Win7 for a while now so I don't remember what I had to do to fix it but these 3 steps + the others suggestions should be a good starting place.
