Hello, I'm currently wielding a 16 GB Jailbroken Verizon CDMA iPhone 4. I currently have this phone on eBay right now looking to sell it. It's advertised as what it is, a Jailbroken iPhone 4.
However, when trying to restore the iPhone and RE-Jailbreak it, it seems I have to activate the phone first. Now considering that I'm selling it, that's a problem. I don't want to sell an activated phone on my line to a random stranger! But I don't want to sell it without it being jailbroken because people that don't like to jailbreak it themselves pay extra money for it to come Pre-jailbroken! As you know, the CDMA iPhone 4 does NOT have a simcard. Since its on eBay now I need an answer soon! Please help!! :) :apple: :apple: :)

Yeah but after I restore it, it's not activated. I don't have to activate it until I jailbreak it. Is there a way to jailbreak this before activating?

There has to be a way!!!!!! you must get the iPhone 5 so figure this out man!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIGURE IT OUT OR ELSE!

Well I know you can bypass the activation screen on the iPhone with the emergency call trick but I don't know how much that helps but it's a start

Yeah I was thinking of that too but unfortunately that wont bypass it for the jailbreak :/

Are you looking to bypass the activation on iTunes ?

What if you activated it, set it up as a new iPhone, jailbreak it then switch the activation over to a different phone??

Well I suppose? Perhaps? I just know that when I try to jailbreak my phone via absinthe for 5.1.1 it tells me that I need to activate the phone prior to jail breaking.. I'm looking to bypass THAT. So that I can have a jail broken phone that can be activated 2 days later

Hmmm... So you're saying to activate it as normal... With my phone number. Then like go to a Verizon store and have them switch the number to the phone id have next? Could that really work?

I don't see why not:D
Make sure the other phone you are switching to works with your data plan
And jailbreak it first, hide the jailbreak then take it in
