Was wondering if anyone here could help recommend a great app or something safe to open SLDPRT files
Looking for a way to view those files without buying actual program. Must be a way to view those files without needing to buy actual program
Does Autodesk have an app by any chance? Seems like a lot of stuff out there is either buggy or not safe. For SOLIDWORKS files on macOS, you have pretty much two options. Dassault's own eDrawings standalone application (DL the app from their website and not the buggy MAS version) is IMO the lesser of the two options. I'd use Autodesk's online Autodesk Viewer, for which you'll need a no-cost account - Autodesk's cloud server viewer platform is pretty powerful IMO, and it does allow for viewing of uploaded SLDPRT files.
Their related app is iOS only. Autodesk has had a cloud computing platform for around a decade, it's like AWS - pros can rent CPU/RAM resources, and they provide free services to the educational and maker industries. Their Fusion 360 platform uses the same cloud servers, it's not just the macOS platform that gets this treatment - Windows and Linux get the same options. I use their cloud computing platform via Fusion 360 and it's slick - the MAS and Autodesk "app" is really just a wrapper for their cloud platform.Does Autodesk have an app by any chance? Thanks for kind reply

No apps from Autodesk AFAIK, I would have mentioned it. I've been an Autodesk customer for almost 30 years now... I'd still recommend the Autodesk option over Dassault's viewer option even though I prefer the latter's SW for real work.
