First off, just FYI I'm not a computer guru. That being said I have saved my shsh blobs before! I have in the past updated my tiny umbrella to 6.01.01 so I rechecked that, seems to be up to date still. For the record I'm on a PC and trying to save my iphone 5.
I first made the mistake of not running as administrator so I changed that and ran as administrator but it still won't save my shsh on iOS 6.0.2.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Brad

It might be worth providing more information as to how you're trying to save your blobs. You've not actually said what you're doing.

I am using tiny umbrella. I begin by right clicking it and 'run as admin'. The program opens and I plug my iPhone in with a USB cable. I then find my device on the left column and click 'iPhone 5'. Then I clicked the box on the right that says 'save shsh'.
It flashes the screen with a progress bar for maybe .1 second and the summary box is empty.
I can click on other devices on the left column that I have shsh's saved for and I can view in the summary box what version is saved: for example, iPad 2 6.0.1.

Have you checked to make sure your hosts file isn't redirecting gs.apple.com?

TinyUmbrella has not been updated for 6.0.2 SHSH yet.

Use Redsn0w to save iPhone 5 SHSH for 6.0.2

Use newest Redsn0w to save your 6.0.x blobs off to Cydia. First connect your new device and turn it on, then use redsn0w’s Extras->SHSH Blobs->New and point it at the 6.0.x IPSW. (Obviously you must download the 6.0.2 IPSW or copy the one from iTunes - iPhone does not have to be on 6.0.2 to do this)

Ok, update...I had my phone replaced again for 1/2 strength wifi. So now I have a phone back on 6.0.1. Tried to save shsh as described above and in the log it says "apple is no longer signing 6.0.1"

So my phone is still on 6.0.1 but I performed dhlizard's way and saved 6.0.2 that I did not install but downloaded to redsnow.

Xbocguru,
I'm not sure how to check if my host files are redirecting. But at this point, I don't think it's relevant if they aren't signing 6.0.1 anymore right?

So am I backed up with my shsh files??

Apple is no longer signing 6.0.1 firmware for iPhone 5 - it is VERY relevant !

Using Redsn0w pointed at the 6.0.2 IPSW you can save 6.0.2 SHSH
That is your only option.

Lol, yea figured that was an issue.

So I did as you described above, and redsnow said it saved my shsh. So am I able, in the future, to go back to 6.0.2 even though my phone is currently 6.0.1 and let's say I update to 6.1.0 when it comes out. If a jailbreak is only available for up to 6.0.2 am I going to need to have my actual phone on 6.0.2 before I can go back to it?
As I said before, last night I used iTunes to download the file but not install it to the iPhone. I then pointed redsnow to that file (took me a little figuring how to do that since I'm on a pc and found I need to change settings to view hidden files/folders lol) and redsnow confirmed to me that it was saved.

Am I good to go now or are there more steps to take for this?

Thanks!

You are good to go now. There's nothing you can do now. However, you may or may not go back to 6.0.2 because of the saved SHSH. There isn't a way to do that now. It depends if the dev team figure out how to do it with the new iphone.

Oh really?
I thought that was the whole point to saving your shsh's, so that you could downgrade back if need be like if you must restore as new device or something.

Yes that's the point of doing it but it doesn't guarantee it. New firmware and new hardware needs new exploit.
