Hi,

I am helping my wife set up her 2019 MacBook Pro (Intel) as an extended display for her 2021 iMac (M1). Both are upgraded to the latest MacOS and logged in to the same Apple ID. Neither one can find each other in control centre "screen mirroring" section or in the system preferences section. They both can find a bunch of TV's that support AirPlay and Apple TVs. The M1 iMac can also find a nearby iPad but the MacBook Pro can't.

Am I missing something? I tried screen mirroring between two of my own M1/M2 Macs and they work perfectly. In my wife's case, is it because of Intel?

Thanks in advance.

The 2019 MBP is supported. Did you set up the Mac to be an AirPlay Receiver?

As for the iPad showing up on one Mac and not the other, that would be Sidecar. Perhaps that is disabled on the 2019 MBP as well.

I will try that, thanks!
