I have recently purchased two Apple Cinema Display Monitors 24" to set up as duel monitors for my Apple Mac PRO 2006 Model, as it is the 2006 model it does not have the Mini port to connect to monitors it has the two DVI ports instead.
I have ordered two extension DVI to DVI cables now i just need an adapter to connect to my two Apple Cinema Displays, I have looked online for the adapters but i am not sure what is right can anybody point me in the right direction
Thanks  :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple:

You'll need two active adapters to convert from DVI to Mini DisplayPort.

I can't seem to find any that do it neatly in one hop, you might have luck with chaining a DVI to DisplayPort active adapter to a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter to the MDP cable from the ACD.

DVI to Mini

I have seen the DVI to Mini adapter but how would the mini display connect to my monitors they have three USB like ports at the back
Can you possibly link me with the adapters that i would need?
Thanks :apple:

The thing is with that adapter how would i then extend the signal a further 2M so it would reach the monitor on the top of my desk?

Before you buy 2 of those expensive active converters, just get a new graphics card with 2x mini Display port out and you're going to get a new card + you can attach your monitors + it might be cheaper than converting.

Yeah that also sounds like a good idea to consider, Thank you for your input
