iPhone Need help, stuck on app

So i just downloaded the "quickcam" tweak from Cydia and installed it, after trying it out i went into the photos app and now i`m stuck. I can`t close it down and i also tried to enter safe mode by holding the volume up button + power but nothing happens, i just get the to the photos app by doing so.

I`m afraid i will lose my jailbreak, is DFU my last option or is there a way to get around it?

Please help if you can.

Try holding the power button together with the home button (after approx. 8-10 sec the device should go off). Afterwards start again by pressing power button.

Yes, but then i will be forced to restore & upgrade to 7.1, i really don't want to lose the jailbreak.

I will try to drain the battery (currently at 37%) so that i can hopefully force a closedown. Not sure if it will work but it's worth a shot.

??? This is just a hard reset. I'm doing this every once in a while when my device gets frozen for whatever reason.
Where did you get that this forces a restore?

Just checked my recent installs and it turned out that "quickcam" was not the cause for the issue, it was "iffound" instead. FYI.
