Does it work with mac? can anyone suggest me if i am making the right choice or not? if not then, can anyone tell me what will be the best for me to buy as a compact dj mixer which is small, easily portable and work perfectly with macbook pro.please help, i have only 1 month to make desicion and i am totally new to the dj world.

There's lots to choose from, but the Hercules is one people often recommend, although it seems to polarize opinion from crap to great. My advice is go and have a look at a few, try and speak to a few knowledgeable people at the shop about what you want to do and how technical you want to get - then go hunt online for the unit you like unless they give you a decent price ;).

For example, do you want to just mix as a regular DJ might with decks, to just use two channels and an EQ, or do you want lots more options and faders that most software allows for? This will play an important part n your decision.

A few other quick recommendations:

M-Audio X-Session

M-Audio X-Session Pro

Evolution UC33

Faderfox (these are awesome)

Just google any of the above.
