I'm going to buy another computer because my me and my girlfriend live together and my computer broke a long time ago so we've been using her laptop. She hate's it when I download stuff to her computer, even if it's an update. So I'm shopping around to a decent computer this weekened. Thanks guys!

Um please tell me your not serious.

That this is trolling.

Just send the phone back to apple please before you hurt yourself.

Go to start -> programs -> up at the verry top should be windows update.

ITS THAT EASY.

heck you may have noticed a little sheild on your task bar that constantly complains about you needing to update.

you are open to all kinds of spyware and viruses by not updating. ever heard of the sasser virus? SP2 fixed some huge holes that allowed all kinds of things in. and all you have to do is be connected to the internet to get them. not to mention most programs require SP2 now. (mostly MS related) it would be VERY smart to apply ALL the security updates for your machine. Explain it to your GF im sure she will understand that her computer is at risk if she doesnt update.

that link is not always there, the easiest way it to open IE and go to help->check for windows updates.

that is always there no matter what.

she should be running SP 2 anyway even if she doesn't like you downloading thing, it's a significant update

Thank's so much, she has re-installed everything probably 3 time's in the past 6 months. I think it's because when we log onto myspace we end up getting a virus or something so we stopped logging on to there. Do you think the reason for this is because we have the old version of xp? I'm going to explain this to her today and hopefully she goes with it. My last resort is just to purchase a mac mini.

I would appreciate it if you do not leave anymore comment's like that. Nobody wants to hear anything negative like that when they are trying to get help.
