Need help to unlock iPhone12

My iPhone 12 was locked as a result of multiple incorrect password attempts. My phone had not been synced or backed up to the icloud. Any assistance in unlocking the phone or recovering data without a factory reset would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I heard Apple can possibly help you, if you can prove it's your phone.
