Need help updating from 1.0.2

I just noticed that many apps in installer won't work on 1.0.2 fw anymore. How do I go about updating my fw? Do I install the 1.0.2 virginzier through installer?

Please help! I would at least want 1.1.3

I swear there are loads of guides all over the internet explaining updating the iPhone FW.

Can't you just update it within iTunes and then use ZiPhone?

Don't use "update" on iTunes. Manually download 1.1.4 FW and Restore from the 1.1.4 (option + Restore) after DFU mode. Then just use ziphone.

This is what I did.

Worked perfectly from 1.0.2 to 1.1.4.

thanks MacsRgr8 and hxe3333 for the help!! I used the guide on iphone.unlock.no and used hxe method to unlock! Works like a charm and my iphone runs a lot faster!
