need help upgrading video card for a quicksilver

Any Mac compatible AGP 2x or 4x card will work.
The best place for scouting out video cards is Ebay and there is quite a few to choose from.

i found three that i'm considering, i use two monitors and also i am curious as to whether or not there is a limit to what my dual 800 can handle.

I have what was once a dual 533 G4, now heavily upgraded, and I bought the OWC-modded Radeon 9600 Pro 64MB card (currently listed at $99). Overall it's the best card from a price/performance standpoint. I am very happy with it. Performance in games like Call of Duty and Halo is excellent, though it does struggle with Doom 3.

However...

...If you are willing to pay I highly recommend getting the Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 256MB card (it currently costs the same as the 128MB version) - it is probably the last new card that will be G4 compatible and thus the best card you'll ever be able to put in your machine. If you can afford it it is generally worth the cost.

Avoid the 9200, it is a PCI card and a lot slower than the 9600 or 9800 cards.

As to your last question, yes, the 9800 would be slight overkill but if you plan on upgrading the CPU at any time your video performance will jump as the new CPU really squeezes extra performance out of the 9800.

You could get the new 256MB Radeon 9600. It's $200, but it's pretty nice. If you can afford it though, go with the 9800. The 9200 would only be good as a secondary video card, as it's PCI.

From what I can remember, the 9800 with 256MB does require a G5; you can only use the 9800 with 128MB in your computer. However, I do believe that there is a newish 9600 with 256MB that will work in your computer.

i got next morning shipping, so i think by tuesday afternoon i should have my new video card.

i have an apple display, but haven't seen that i "won't" need a converter, but at least i also have a big huge crt that i can use as i wait to obtain a converter.
