Hey, for the last 2 hours I have been reading up on the MacBook and am really falling in love w/ it. To me, the best thing about it is the ability to switch screens like from Firefox on one to itunes on the other. However I was wondering which to buy, money is really not a factor, but I perfer the 13" and 15" because of weight and space. Right now I am leaning to the MacBook because its small, simple and the white is gorgeous. I play WoW alot and am seeing videos of the gameplay online and it looks like it does on my PC *Gasp*.

The decider in the Pro is it's upgradeability, I noticed that it has the PCIe graphic slot and that may lead to an upgrade further down the line? Can the MacBook be upgradeable in the future w/ it's intergrated card? If I do choose the Pro or Mac I will definitely buy 2gigs ram and a bigger drive from another vendor.

The only thing really keeping me away from the Pro is it's color choice. Hope to hear your comments.

Overall can the Pro or Regular MacBook later become upgradeable graphic wise?

Macbooks have the intel graphics, but the pros have the PCIe ports, so i'd imagine the Pros will be a tad more upgradeable

Neither has upgradable graphics.

The hard drive is MUCH easier to replace on the MacBook (13"). Anyone who has ever replaced a hard drive on a MacBook Pro for the first time would probably suggest you not do it. It's a pain.

The graphics will be much better on the MacBook Pro. If you play games at all, I would get the Pro.

Regardless, I would wait another month, as they will probably be refreshing them slightly soon.

You love the fact that you can switch between tasks? Am I missing something? Windows can do this too? Not to mention every Mac not just the Macbook.

The color choice keep you away from the Pro? Plastic or sexy Aluminum... hmmm

I bought the Macbook for two reasons. I didn't want to spend 2000 dollars and I absolutely abhor the vertical gaps besides the keyboard where Apple chose to put the speakers on the MBP.

In any case I am very happy my Macbook. It runs almost all applications I used to run on my PC quite a bit faster and for the few pesky ones that don't, there's always bootcamp. A big deciding factor was also the look and feel of the Macbook. It looks really sleek and I was sick of having black and silver laptops for the past 6 years. I know that isn't that much of a deciding factor but hey, if you're getting your needs fulfilled with the low end version why go higher?

In any case in the end it all comes down to 3D. If you're going to play semi-recent games on the Macbook, I personally play WoW and Guild Wars under bootcamp and both run pretty smooth. A hell of a lot better than my pc ever ran them. As always, if you get to a crowded area it gets a bit laggy.

So I'd say if youre going to run non 3D oriented programs and semi-recent games like WoW or Guild Wars and love the sleek look of the Macbook, then get it. However if you're a hardcore gamer and want to do intense 3D modeling then Pro is for you.

Also, whichever you decide, wait till after the WWDC because anything might get updated and you don't wanna be careened in by Apple to buy it's end of cycle stock, like I was -_-

Wow will run fine on mmacbook with enough RAM. but if money is not an issue. definitely PRO. sure the macbooks look better. but performance go with PRO
