I installed a 60Gb ssd to be my boot drive with the intention of only using it for the speed and leaving the 500 gb hard drive for everything else.

I have tried for hours to keep things like my iTunes library and photos and others on the larger hard drive but every time, they install on the SSD. I've been around macs for a while, but am a complete noob to a dual hard drive set up. Can some one please walk me through this process?

For iTunes:

Two good alternatives to running on dual drives is to either relocate your entire home folder to the second disk, or to replace the system "special" folders like Documents, Photos, etc. with symlinks that point to folders on your external HDD. You can search google for step-by-step instructions for these although I would recommend practicing/testing it out with a dummy user account before trying with your real account.

Thanks for the help. I've managed to get all of my iTunes content to the larger drive. I will definitely google the other.
I would have done a google search the first time, but I didn't really know what I was searching for because I didn't know what I needed to do.

Thanks again for your help.
