So I had a 2tb nvme ssd in my old 5,1 mac pro as a boot drive and I pulled it out and added it into an external housing and connected to my mac studio. It shows right up and it is named Macintosh HD like the boot drive in my mac studio is named. I opened up disk utility to try and erase it and it wont let me. It just errors out. I tried to use first aid and it failed as well. I figured maybe the name was the issue but I cannot rename the drive either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was going to say; if you can't get it working in macOS; try booting into Utilities, and use Disk Utility in there to sort it out.
