Hi all,

16 Pro on 18.1

So I have a focus for when I’m at the gym. The main thing is turning on AOD so I can always check at a glance both the rest timer with Hevy and music etc

The problem is that as soon as it “locks” the time left numericals disappear and are replaced with dashes. If I press the lock button to unlock I can instantly see the countdown.
But here's the twist, it sometimes does show the rest timer when locked in AOD. It seems to be completely random... any ideas?!

The below screenshot is how it should look, with the rest timer working in real time.

That's the way AOD works, it has a lower refresh rate, so they hide things that update frequently.

even a regular countdown timer will hide the seconds when in AOD.

So why does it work sometimes?
Because 1Hz = 1 cycle per sec meaning 1hz = 1 sec

So more than capable of displaying a rest timer at 1hz in realtime.

If anyone's interested here's Hevy's dev response which sheds more light on Apple's AOD policies:
