Need Help with choices

I did my budget and i can get either 15" or 17" Macbook pro should i get the 17" one just for the screen or just buy 15" then buy a nicer external Screen? I think i decided to buy a nicer Laptop first then save for a desktop.

Budget says: I can get either

Mac Pro 1.83
imac 1.83

or

Mac Pro 1.83 iMac 2.0

Macbook imac 2.0

Or

17" Macbook Pro or 15" and Mabye 1.83 imac Have abot 4,300 left for school

17" Macbook Pro Plus 2.0 Not possible to much

15" Macbook Pro plus imac 2.0 4,300 left about



What should i do?

Get top Line Laptop and external Mon
Get Macbook Pro 1.83 and top line desktop
Macbook and top line desktop

Will use it for Moderate Video, Pictures, and iweb.

For what you want to do the 15" pb with external display is perfect. If you want a desktop and you're sure you don't want to run around with it, get the imac. You do not need two. Save your money and next time you do your budget you'll be happy about the money you saved.

I see no need for both machines that will perform exactly the same.

I am a student so i do need a Laptop so i guess i will go with Laptop only with nice external screen. Is it worth it to get Nicer top of line Macbook Pro for the Better Superdrive? Or just get the 15"? I started thinking about this i don't need to computers lol. Thanks for replay..
