Ok, here is a little problem I have. I got a 17" Powerbook and I want to load FCP3 on it....but, I only have the OS9 disk for it. Now what I am wondering is if there is a way to install it in OSX?
or....can I connect my computer to a friends computer and transfer his installed FCP3 on mine? Thanks!

....

You should be able to install it fine, the installer program should open in classic and it will install it from there, worked for me on a couple of apps. (cant remember what i did for FCP)

It depends on how old your disk is. The first copies of FCP 3 that came out had only the OS9 copy on it. Only the later copies had both os9 & osx installers on them.

Call Apple. If you can prove you bought the software, they'll probably be able to send you the OS X version on disk for like $20. That's how much they usually charge.
