My Dad pass away a few month now he left me a Imac desktop,the problem I have is asking for Adminstrator name and pass world when I try to change Airport card to use my wireless network connect is asking for that I just wonder is there a way to get around to do it,thanks in advance for any help.
 
Thank you for your help,how do I go about install OS,do not have any software to do it any help? any ideal how to check with model Imac?
 
He needs to know the administrator password. If his account is an administrator, he can use his own password.

You don't have the restore disks that came with the computer? Use the first gray disk to reinstall the OS.

I do not have any recovery disk,gray disk or password we try to find any disk but no luck any ideal where to get the disk,thanks
 
You don't have to reinstall the OS, but you do need either the original disks that came with the machine or (assuming it has Leopard) a Leopard install disk. Boot to that disk and it has an admin password reset function.

It's alu iMac? If it is, then it's mid 2007 low-end 20"

Yes is the Imac alu 20" so how do I check for which model so I can buy the recovery software,I try to call apple they do not want to talk to me they want to talk to the people that register to the Imac that's f...stupid..or do you known where I can download the software.
