Hey guys!

Alrighty, this has been a big issue for me since I updated my 1st Gen. phone on Friday.

I am able to select my home Wifi network fine. However, I cannot get Wifi connectivity. It stays on EDGE constantly and the E symbol rarely turns into the Wifi symbol now. I am next to the router as a matter of fact while typing this post, and it's still on EDGE.

Is this just a known problem in the 2.1 firmware, or is there a way around to fix it?

Thanks

Wifi: Not Connecting

havin da same problem .. restored ton's of times, any solution for dis? help Needed:confused::confused:

Maybe a dumb answer but have you rebooted you WiFi router? I sometimes have the same problem but this seems to do the trick

I have been having the same problem with my first generation iphone for about 2 weeks now, so it's not 2.2 related, at least not for me.

I can't seem to stay connected to my home wi-fi nor the one at work, so I know it is not the wi-fi's. I have rebooted my home wi-fi several times, to the person that asked. I've turn on and off, and reset the iphone many, many times, and I finally did a full restore--my first ever.

None of that has helped, and I'm worried about my iphone.

I've had it since launch day so it's almost 1.5 years old. Up to this point it has worked flawlessly.

I really hope someone cal figure this out.
