iPod Need Help with ipod classic 120gb.. White screen

My uncle gave me a ipod to see if i could fix it and all tht comes up is blank white screen... it still works i can listen to music and hear the scroll wheel but the sceen is just white.... ive tryed restoring and resetting to no luck... what shoulld i do? order a new screen? but since screen is white doenst tht mean it works

120gb ipod white screen fix

i had the same problem were my 120GB ipod classic wood play music but had a white screen and ****. when i was opening it i was pushing a knife on the right hand side on the ipod were the face plate and backing plate meet. and then at the same time i pushed the top right hand side of the screen at the back and the screen lite up again and i cood see everything but it wasnt the same. the colors in the screen were differnt but u can still see wat ur doing.
