Hi, I have always used my ipod shuffle 2nd generation 1gb with a PC and now i got a macbook and so want to connect it to that. When I insert the ipod into the macbook, it reads

"Disk Insertion-the disk you inserted was not readable by this machine".

I've tried to reformat it to use on a mac system but no luck. When i tried on the macbook it said ' permission denied'? i don't know why as there are no passwords or anything to ask for permission in the first place.
however it still works on the PC but with the PC i still can't reformat it. I also have tried the 5 'r' thing, reset, reinstall, recent update of software...etc etc, but did not work.

someone please help me as this is really getting on my nervous.
