Hello, looking for help with my 2015 MacBook Pro a1502 before taking it to a repair shop. I’m on vacation in Lima Peru, been using my mac here fine all week. Until yesterday. I woke up, used my laptop for maybe 5 minutes checking some things, and it was working normally. Later I come back to use it, and the keyboard and mouse pad were totally unresponsive.
A quick google said using a usb keyboard and mouse would work, it did. I tried to search online for some solutions for that issue, which resulted in it probably needing a new tack pad flex cable. Nothing I could do now while on vacation I figured. Later with the computer off, I tried to clear the SMC by holding the buttons and hitting the power button, but it didn’t seem like anything was happening.
Then I had the laptop on and at the login screen, and it read a message “having issues logging in, try rebooting in safe mode, hit the power button to turn off computer then press the power button again” I’m paraphrasing there, but that’s what I did, and now the computer only flashes this weird black screen with white line boxes and arrows. I have no clue what this means, and can’t find the same issue online anywhere.
There’s a repair shop here in Lima I might go to, but I’m a DIY-er for most things, so hoping there’s something I can try before taking it to a technician. Any help is very appreciated!

At first glance those are some disturbing screens. Then I realized, they are telling the user to flip the power switch of the Magic Mouse or the Magic Trackpad (not very friendly to those who are not familiar with your accessories, Apple).

I am almost sure your Mac did not detect a pointing device (mouse/trackpad), thus the screens asking you to connect one.

This indicates the possible malfunctioning of your built-in trackpad and/or keyboard.

You rock! I plugged in the usb keyboard and mouse, and the computer booted up in recovery mode. I had to reset my password, but was able to login and the computer is fully operational now. Even better, the keyboard and trackpad are fully functioning again!
Anyone able to help explain this to me? Any possible idea of further actions I should take to prevent this issue in the future? May I need to replace my trackpad flex cable?
Thanks
