need help with my clamshell

I'm trying to upgrade to 10.3 and whenever I try it the install just freezes over a blue screen after booting (instalation mode). Can someone help me?

What type of Mac do you own? How much RAM? Any problems prior to the installation? Have you run Repair Permissions lately?
