I would suggest figuring out what your focus is going to be. Here's a nice PDF overview by blogger Frank Gruber on setting up and promoting your blog.

thanks for the link.

what do you think of my site so far?

i think it's just going to be a personal blog, so the focus isn't a huge part (according to the link)....i guess just things that i'm interested in.

Your site and blog look good so far. I think you have a good integration of graphics and pictures, such that it's interesting to look around. It's hard to offer advice on adding things to your blog because there are so many directions you could go with your blog that would be interesting and acceptable. What specific kind of advice are you seeking to receive? In general, just make your blog your own; find your voice and go with it.

Good luck.

thanks :)

you're right, i have to make it my own. i kinda want to put my running log on there somehow, but i'm not sure of a good way .....i think it's too wide for a web page.

i was trying to put my currently top 10 songs in itunes.....using grab....but it was too small. is there any way to make it bigger without stretching the letters and stuff?

thanks

well i added an iTunes page.....tell me what you think. i think it needs some work, but i'm not sure what to do with it.

any advice would be appreciated

thanks

i'd like to have a hit counter.....but i put one on it in iweb, but it didn't work....i guess you have to have a .mac account....:(

Yeah, the hit counter is dependent on the .mac server side software, kind of like the enhanced slideshows for Photos, and the user comments on your blog pages.

Good luck with the blog, twoodcc, don't let it get in the way of your MacRumors rumble. :)

The site looks pretty good, twoodcc. I like the idea of the iTunes top played list; if you like you can drag them directly from iTunes to the iWeb page and it will make a clickable link to the iTMS.

Also, please take a break from the Rumble to let the rest of us get a bit closer. ;)

thanks. yeah, i tried just dragging the playlist over, but it only shows the title of the songs, and not the other information. is that possible to have the other information and stuff?

i'll think about it. but i like to run with my ipod though. but i have cut back a little, since i've been on the track lately.....
