need help with notifications

what should i have settings at to get twitter and facebook to show in notifications?
Mail works, but I cannot seem to get the other ones to work

It only works when someone sends a tweet directly to you... I was disappointed too.

Settings->Notifications->Not in Notification Center

Then pick one(twitter or facebook in this case) and update notification details as you wish

not quite true. it depends on your twitter client. i use tweetbot, and told it to notify me on @replies, @mentions and @DMs. works like a charm.

havent tried the native twitter app yet.
