Need help with Pixma Pro 100 Printer

I need help with the Pixma Pro 100 printer and hoping people use it here. The manual and Canon support are no help at all.

I got it all set up and did the alignment head test without a problem. I just can't print anything after that. I have tried everything and have the right photo settings. I click print and it just says printing and the power button flashes. Nothing after that and I have waited 20+ mins. The test printed in less than 5.

I am using pro luster paper if that makes a difference and using the rear tray and not the feed tray. I have tried using the pro garden app and just Macs preview and nothing. No error code or anything, just says printing.

Try using the feed tray, on top. That's the one I always use, even for A3+ paper. I've never had any luck with it accepting paper from the rear tray for some reason...

Are you wireless or connected directly? I am connected to my router and have never had an issue. I print directly from PS, AI or any other program. On occasion I have used Print Studio Pro. Does not matter the tray I am using either.

My suggestion would be to check your network settings through the Canon Quick Menu or try directly connecting to see if that changes anything. The power button flashing is telling me that when you send to print it is not making it there. Usually a tray issue will show a flashing yellow light on the feed button. Paper quality will not make any difference except for the ICC profile you use to print.

Also make sure the drivers and software are up to date. You can get all that here.

I made the same mistake with my Pro-10. Make sure all the hatches are closed!

I'm currently set up as wired and the feed slot tray was closed and firmware is up to date. Just sat there blinking the whole time.

Thinking about taking the loss and putting it away for awhile till I'm ready to try again. Things to big to be nothing more than a paper weight.

Played around with it a little more and couldn't get it to work. Decided to try wireless and it worked. Printed a picture that came out very good. A little darker than what you see on the iMac screen but I'm sure that can be fixed by messing around in settings and all that.

Now that it's working I'm quite happy with it and can't wait to start printing more pictures.
