I have the public OS X beta installed on my iMac; but when i go to install it on my MacBook Pro, nothing happens.

My Mac says that it is on:

Version 10.11 Beta (15A278b)

But there is never an update on the Mac App Store like there is on my iMac.

Anyone have any ideas?

It looks like your MacBook Pro is stuck on the pre-release pre-GM build.
The only way to fix this is to download the full retail installer for El Capitan, and install that over the pre-GM beta build.

Then, if necessary re-enrolling the MacBook Pro in the Public Beta program using the Beta Access Utility once the installation is complete.

Just a quick update for anyone with a similar problem.

The fix that I quoted took care of the issue right away. As soon as the computer booted up from the reinstal, the App Store said the beta was availible to download.

Thanks again beebarb.
