I downloaded (legal of course) some live tracks that are encoded in .shn format. How do I open these files? MacAmp Lite does not have the plug-in available for it anymore so I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, apmonia.

i have been in the same situation before. you need a app called X audio compression tool. or xACT i think you can find it on versiontracker. i cant remember where i got it exactly. there you can convert the shn into aiff and then in itunes convert to aac if you want. aiff are huge files like the shns. hope this helps.

SoundConverter should be able to convert .shn files to your favorite format.
